By accessing our website or using our moving services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
Our Services
QuikShip Logistics provides local and long-distance moving services, packing services, storage solutions, and related services. All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at any time.
Quotes and Estimates
Quotes provided by QuikShip Logistics are based on the information you provide. The accuracy of your quote depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. Factors that may affect the final cost include:
- Actual volume/weight of items moved
- Additional services requested
- Access conditions at pickup or delivery locations
- Changes to the original inventory
- Additional stops or diversions
- Waiting time beyond the agreed schedule
Booking and Cancellation
To book our services, you must provide accurate information and may be required to pay a deposit. Cancellation policies are as follows:
- Cancellation more than 7 days before the move: Full refund of deposit
- Cancellation 3-7 days before the move: 50% refund of deposit
- Cancellation less than 3 days before the move: No refund
- Same-day cancellation or no-show: Full service fee charged
Your Responsibilities
When using our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about your move
- Ensure proper access for our moving trucks and crew
- Secure necessary parking permits or building approvals
- Disclose any items requiring special handling
- Pack personal valuables, important documents, and irreplaceable items yourself
- Be present or have an authorized representative present during the move
- Inspect your belongings before signing the delivery receipt
Prohibited Items
We cannot transport the following items:
- Hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, corrosives)
- Perishable foods
- Plants (for interstate moves)
- Pets and animals
- Illegal substances or items
- High-value items without prior disclosure (jewelry, cash, important documents)
Liability and Insurance
We provide basic liability coverage at no additional charge, which covers $0.60 per pound per item. Additional full replacement value protection is available for purchase. Our liability is limited to:
- Damage caused by our negligence during the move
- Loss of items while in our custody
- Damage to property at origin or destination caused by our crew
We are not liable for:
- Damage to items not packed by our team (unless damage is caused by our negligence)
- Mechanical or electrical derangement of appliances
- Damage to items of extraordinary value not disclosed in writing
- Loss or damage due to circumstances beyond our control (acts of God, weather, etc.)
Claims Process
Any claims for loss or damage must be:
- Noted on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery
- Reported to us in writing within 9 months of delivery
- Supported by documentation (photos, receipts, etc.)
Payment Terms
Payment is due as follows:
- Local moves: Payment due upon completion of services
- Long-distance moves: Payment due before delivery
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
- Late payments may incur fees and interest charges
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation, facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
